We recognise that every dentist wants to find a restorative material that can deliver both life-like esthetics and exceptional toughness. This combination of realistic appearance and high performance is exactly what IPS E.Max offers.
If you are looking for an amazing cosmetic result and long lasting restoration, e.max surely is at the top of the list. The natural appearance of these crowns/veneers will blend with your patient’s natural teeth to create a beautiful smile. After 10 years of continuous testing, e.max demonstrated an average biaxial flexural strength of 500MPa. In addition, it offers translucency characteristics mimicking the enamel of natural teeth. Both of these uniquely specialised qualities are the reason that we, at HowLite Dental Laboratory, recommend e.max as the right choice for guaranteeing your patient walks away with a confident smile.
E.max is, in essence, a form of lithium disilicate ceramic with molecules constructed in a manner to maximise its durability, texture and style. Being a lithium ceramic gives it the advantage of integrating well with the CAD/CAM design and manufacturing process. Whether you are wanting it milled or pressed, we, at HowLite Dental Laboratory, are constantly developing and evolving our techniques. This allows us to give you and your patients the best results money can buy for every individual case. We offer full contour design, finished with aesthetic stain and glaze or minimal layering (where the function of the restoration requires extra strength) or cut back option with ceramic veneering to enhance the cosmetic results.
Emax is one of the best aesthetic materials on the market and shows an exceptional strength in single unit crown application. The material provides reliable and consistent strength suitable for a single bridge that is up to 3 units long. Additionally, during the bonding process, you may want to reinforce the crown by using glass ionomer or favour retention by resin bonding the unit to the prep area.
If your patient has a discoloured or non-vital dark tooth but still wants to have an aesthetic restoration with minimal impact, Emax offers a choice of ingots of different opacity to mask the darkness of the preparation. Opague substructure layered with porcelain will offer a perfect solution for such a scenario.
At HowLite Dental Laboratory, our technicians will be there to guide you on a case-by-case basis to ensure the best possible results.
